I have not a Christmas wish
to ask unto thee,
For I have already been granted
my family of three.

A houseful of warmth,
laughter, comfort, and cheer,
My life has been blessed
beyond meaning this year.

My beautiful wife Jessica,
not a complaint can I say
She grows ever so gorgeous
and lovely each day.

She always has a smile,
or a quick wit and laugh,
And on many days she has been
my rock and my staff.

And then there is Will,
he’s a product of love,
Something so dear and so precious,
a gift from above.

Always ready with a giggle,
a smile, or a snuggle,
Sometimes I am so amazed
that holding back tears is struggle.

Not a day passes by
without realizing how thankful I am,
for giving me such a wonderful family;
my muse and my lamb.

So a Christmas wish this year
I have none to ask of thee,
You see I have everything I need,
My wonderful family of three.

Merry belated Christmas!

The wrapping paper is cleaned up, the bows are put away, but the tree still remains! Not sure when that is coming down, but it’s too pretty to take down just yet. Besides, I am not really looking forward to that explosion of pine needles that we call “removing the decorations?!”

Jess and I had a very relaxing Christmas holiday, getting in time with her Uncle/Aunt and their family, her Grandma and cousins, my Uncle/Aunt and their family, and her parents. We spent most of Christmas day at her parents house and it was quite relaxing! Except for the first part, which is when we take the annual “everyone-sit-in-front-of-the-tree-and-pose” picture, which is always quite an event. Most of the pictures are of that production, which was quite the entertainment the first Christmas I spent with them. Now I get sucked into it with the rest and hope I come out smiling!

I hope everyone had an enjoyable and safe holiday!

I’m…. dreaming… of a… white… Christmas… errr… uhhhh… okay, so maybe dreaming isn’t quite the right word. Let’s see… what might be more appropriate… how ’bout this: I’m…. up to… my elbows in white… this Christmas… Yeah, that’s definately more representative of northern Michigan this year!

Basically, it has been snowing for the better part of 2 weeks. A lot of it is lake effect snow, but snow is snow is snow. I would guess that we have about a foot on the ground now (which should make for a nice landing pads for Santa’s sleigh) and I think more is on the way!

It was a very Christmas weekend around our house and also in Wabash. Jess and I picked out our tree at Komrska’s tree farm on Saturday and decorated it on Sunday. Meanwhile, my sisters and their families picked out their trees at a tree farm just north of Wabash (Indiana) and decorated theirs as well! And to top it all off, it snowed here last night and is really beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
