We had another Jam Session last night, this time hosted at Wayne’s house. Infinte praises to Wayne and his wife Linda for hosting us (until midnight!) and for going above and beyond the call by laying out a spread of food that was unbelievable!

This time around went even better than the first as I think we all are getting a little more comfortable with the fact that we aren’t so good, which considerably lowers that “nervous” index. Everyone did a fantastic job playing songs like Light My Fire, Born to Be Wild, Go and Say Goodbye, Henry, Nowadays Clancy Can’t Even Sing, Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood, We Got To Get Out of this Place, House of the Rising Sun, and Down on the Corner. Greg surprised everyone with a song he brought called Nightclub (which basically rocked) and we had a rockin’ impromptu session at the end during which Gruber transcended to a higher lever of being that left everyone in awe!

In addition to snapping some pictures of our session, I took a handful of 30 second video clips that may someday be worth millions on Ebay! Just click on the links below to see each clip.

In the name of rock, jam on!

I can’t remember which song this was?!

Go and Say Good Bye

House of the Rising Sun

If you have problems playing the files, please let me know. I will also be working to better streamline the video clips in the future…

We didn’t get squat! I would take a picture, but it isn’t even worth the time. So much for Thunder Snow?!

On an entirely different thought, I woke up this morning with that Mr. Roger’s song in my head that goes like…
“It’s such a good feeling, a feeling to know that I’ll be back… when the day is new… and I’ll have more ideas for you. And you’ll have things you’ll want to talk about. And… I… will… too.”
Not sure why it’s rollin around in my melon this morning, but I have to admit, I don’t mind it today! Thunder Snow or not!

Have a great weekend!

The weather forecasts have been predicting an Alberta clipper all day long, so we were/are expecting at least a little bit of snow tonight. In my excitement, I snapped the above picture simply because I thought it was pretty.

Later in the evening though, Jess and I started hearing what sounded like thunder we started seeing what looked like lightening?! A weather report popped up on TV shortly afterwards saying that “Thunder Snow” was likely in the area and that heavier amounts of accumulation may be expected! Thunder snows are apparently fairly rare and are usually associated only with larger storms! I am guessing that we still aren’t going to get much snow tonight (it never seems like we get the really big storms, but you never know! I will post a quick follow-up in the morning!

TJ just sent me a batch of pictures that he took over Thanksgiving, so I thought I might throw them up here as well! Enjoy and thanks to T-Daddy for passing them along!
